KAMELOT: More Video Footage From New Album Writing Sessions Posted Online
February 16, 2009Guitarist Thomas Youngblood and singer Roy Khan of American/Norwegian melodic metallers KAMELOT have just completed the first of four writing sessions for the band's next full-length album in Sørskogbygda, Norway. One of the final video updates from the cabin where the sessions took place can be viewed below.
As previously reported, KAMELOT have joined the roster of Royal Artist Club (powered by Nokia) where international artists offer fans a glimpse of their own everyday life: exclusive behind-the-curtains, on- and off-stage material. Royal Artist Club is a mobile blog where the members of the band can send videos and pictures via their mobile phones. You can comment on the blog and even suggest ideas what the guys could do with it!
SPV/Steamhammer will release KAMELOT's "Ghost Opera" (2007) and "The Black Halo" (2005) albums as gatefold double LPs. This will mark the first vinyl releases for the band.
The release dates are as follows:
"Ghost Opera":
February 27: Germany, Austria, Switzerland
March 2: Rest of Europe
March 24: USA, Canada
"The Black Halo":
March 24: USA, Canada
March 27: Germany, Austria, Switzerland
March 30: Rest of Europe
The band last year put the finishing touches on the video for the song "Love You To Death". The clip was shot a few months ago in Belgrade, Serbia with ICode an it "turned out beautiful and tragic and really fits the song and feel we were hoping for," says Thomas Youngblood.
